"You should review 200 games a week", was GM Larry Christiansen's answer to a general how to improve question. The obvious next question is what games? Certainly, we will improve by studying well annotated games, but there is a place for just playing through lots of games. Games that are relevant to your opening repertoire seem like a natural set.

This digest is a collection of games that are informative for "The Kaufman Repertoire for Black and White" by GM Larry Kaufman 2012 edition. The games are selected from recent high level play. They are presented a diagram for each move, so that you can follow the game without a set anywhere you can read this ebook. Moves are presented in figurine notation. The chess font I use is derived from Eric Bentzen's Chess Alpha.

This digest is in no way a substitute for GM Larry Kaufman's fine book. You might find it useful to have your copy of his book nearby to reference while reading this digest.

I have selected these games based on tabiya that I derived from the Kaufman repertoire. Any deficiencies in the selection are my fault and do not reflect in any way on GM Kaufman.

It is my hope that you will find these games instructive and will read other issues in this series.

If you do not see chess diagrams at all, you will have to set use publisher defaults in the font options for your ebook reader

If the diagrams look funny, reduce the font size in your reader until you see a square board. If you want to see them funny, increase the font until a full line of the diagram cannot fit across the screen of your reader.
