Foucault’s theatres

Tony Fisher's book "Foucault's Theatres" explores the relationship between the philosophy of Michel Foucault and the theory and practice of theatre. The book is part of the "Theatre: Theory – Practice – Performance" series published by Manchester University Press.

The book brings together writers from various fields, including geography, political theory, theatre, performance studies, philosophy, and music, to examine the multiple "theatres" of Foucault's thought. It offers many entry points to engage with Foucault's ideas and their relevance to theatre and performance.

Tony Fisher is a Reader in Theatre and Philosophy and the Associate Director of the Centre for Philosophy and Performance at Queen Mary University of London. He has co-edited the book with Kélina Gotman, who is a Lecturer in Theatre and Performance Studies at King's College London
